PIE&G’s lobby remains closed at least through Thursday, Dec. 31, 2020 to maintain the personal safety of our critical infrastructure employees, members and the public. PIE&G is following State of Michigan guidelines [MI Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), MI Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA) and the MI Governor]. We will continue to comply with all COVID-19 emergency safety rules and guidelines as announced to protect employees and members.

April 8th, 2020
PIE&G has extended at least through April 30 and possibly longer, suspension of all nonpayment shut offs, collections and late fees on delinquent balances for residential and commercial accounts. PIE&G will offer extended payment plans to those adversely affected by the crisis, especially seniors, low-income members and those experiencing financial hardship due to job loss, lay off or illness.

PIE&G’s lobby will also remain closed through April 30 and possibly longer, while maintaining a full staff, including linemen, natural gas crews and Member Services, all of whom are working to maintain essential utility services. Some employees are working from home and work stations have been moved to accommodate social distancing between employees. We are limiting field personnel to essential tasks and emergencies only. All non-essential appointments have been canceled. Updates will be provided through press releases to local media outlets (TV and newspapers), online at pieg.com, and on our Facebook page.
