Confirming the availability of applicable rebates and tax credits before initiating any purchases or projects is recommended. We also recommend consulting a qualified tax professional for inquiries related to tax matters.

Rebates

The State of Michigan offers financial assistance for energy efficiency and electrification projects to homeowners and eligible renters through two programs:

  • Home Energy Rebates: Designed to reduce the upfront costs associated with energy efficiency upgrades.
  • Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates: Aimed at lowering the cost of high-efficiency electric technologies.

These programs are administered by the State of Michigan, not MEC. Applications are expected to open in March 2025. Please visit the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) website for further details.
