Sharing Success Matching Grant Program

PIE&G has partnered with CoBank’s Sharing Success matching grant program to celebrate the vital role that our members play in their communities. The partnership is intended to support the causes and organizations members care about most and is a great way to fulfill our mission of service to rural America and to be a trusted energy partner while making a positive impact.

Active 501(c)(3) charity organizations within our service territory are able to participate in the Sharing Success program. Other organizations which may be considered include schools, churches, and government organizations, as long as the donation serves a public purpose and is consistent with the guidelines of the Sharing Success program. Organizations that are political in nature, limit their activities based on religious affiliation, or discriminate do not qualify. Eligible organizations requesting a matching grant contribution must have a minimum contribution request of $1,000 or a maximum contribution of $5,000. If you have questions about your organization’s eligibility, please contact Melissa at 800-423-6634 extension 1011 or email at [email protected].

Applications for consideration for the Sharing Success Program will be accepted beginning January 1st thru March 1st and will be reviewed in March. The applicant or applicants selected for the program will then be submitted to CoBank on April 1st. CoBank reserves the right to review and determine whether requests are eligible for matching contributions. If the applicant or applicants are approved, a check will be sent to PIE&G for delivery to the charitable organization.

Interested charitable organizations must complete the application form in its entirety, located at www.pieg.com/content/sharing-sucess. Completed applications should be mailed to PIE&G Cobank Sharing Success, PO Box 308, Onaway MI 49765 or can be summited by email to [email protected]. A copy of the designated charity’s IRS 501(c)(3) tax exemption notification must be included with the application. If the recipient organization is not a 501(c)(3), please submit the organization’s taxpayer identification number, also referred to as an employer identification number.
