Where Your Energy Comes From

All the power supplied to PIE&G member is provided by our power supplier, Wolverine Power Cooperative.

Today, PIE&G and Wolverine Power Cooperative lead Michigan with its renewable and carbon-free energy portfolios. Our members are served by energy that is 62% carbon-free, of which 19% is from renewable resources.

From Michigan’s first utility-scale wind farm to the largest solar array in Northern Michigan, we are committed to finding innovative ways to source energy that is not only clean, but also reliable and cost-efficient.

Community Solar

With community Solar, PIE&G members have the opportunity to participate in renewable energy without taking on the time, cost, and ongoing maintenance to do it on your own. When you purchase a panel subscription, you will receive a bill credit for the solar power generated from that subscription.
