PIE&G has now restored all but about 1,300 services as crews continue to work on repairs and restorations. We’ve found 10 broken poles as of this afternoon, three of which have been repaired. Most of the current outages are still in Montmorency County, but they are widespread including in Alcona, Alpena, Cheboygan, Presque Isle and Mackinac and Oscoda counties. We have a lot of territory to cover to make repairs, but we have brought in line crews from Kent Power and Wolverine Power to assist.
We also have a crew scheduled for Bois Blanc Island first thing tomorrow. All available crews, field employees and office staff are working late again tonight, but we do expect that some repairs will extend into tomorrow. Please prepare accordingly if your service is still out this evening.
