We have all but about 700 outages cleaned up, but the winds ramped up overnight, so we may see additional new outages today. We now have Traverse City Light & Power and Cherryland Electric Cooperative line crews here to help us out, in addition to Kent Power and Wolverine crews. They will have their work cut out for them with sustained wind speeds in the mid-20 mph range, with peaks up to 35 mph.

The skies should be clearing, and the temperature highs today are in the mid-40’s, but it will feel colder with the wind. The forecast says the winds should calm down tonight (finally).

As of last night, we have repaired 6 broken poles, 3 are temporarily repaired, and 1 is scheduled for repair today. Our crews and employees are back at it this morning!

We appreciate our members support and understanding as our crews work safely to restore service. Thank you!
