More than 1,500 students from all across America take part in the Youth Tour experience each year, and so can you! Travel to Washington, D.C., where you will meet your U.S. Representatives and Senators. This unique trip will give you the opportunity to watch history come alive as you explore the museums, memorials and monuments with students from your state. You will meet student leaders from nearly every state and hear dynamic leaders on Youth Day. Bottom line, you will make friendships that will last a lifetime and be part of a group that has more than 50,000 alumni in every walk of life including U.S. Senators and CEOs.

2026 YOUTH TOUR APPLICATION

Are you a high school sophomore or junior whose parent or guardian is a member of Presque Isle Electric and Gas Co op? Apply now for the 2026 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour, an unforgettable leadership experience in Washington, D.C.

PIE&G will send two students from our service area to join others from across Michigan and the country for a week of learning, exploring, and building future-ready skills. All travel, lodging, and program expenses are fully covered through our partnership with the Michigan Electric Cooperative Association and the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association.

Trip highlights include a charter bus journey to Washington with stops at historic locations, networking with approximately 2,000 students from electric cooperatives nationwide, guided tours of significant landmarks, and the opportunity to be selected for the Youth Leadership Council, a group chosen by peers to represent co-ops on a national level.
