We are experiencing widespread wind-related outages across our system. Cheboygan and Montmorency counties are hardest hit.  Sustained winds with gusts of up to 60 mph were reported today. The forecast is for the winds to die down somewhat tonight, but will ramp up again tomorrow with gusts of up to 45 mph at times.

All available PIE&G crews have been dispatched along with additional help from contract crews. PIE&G staff will continue working on restorations into the night. Due to the extent of the outages and damage to the system however, PIE&G anticipates that restorations will take several days. Please make preparations for an extended outage.

If you have not yet reported your outage, you may call PIE&G at 1-800-423-6634 to speak to a representative. If you don’t wish to hold, press 6 to use our automated reporting system.  You may also report your outage on our SmartHub mobile app (available for free download from the App store or Google Play).

Remember to stay away from downed power lines. Thank you for your patience.
