Our Member Services Reps have received several calls from members who are reporting texts and phone calls they’ve received in recent days threatening shut off of gas or electric service for past due bills if payment isn’t made immediately.  Your bill will reflect payments made, amounts owing by your due date, any past due amounts, and our telephone number to call for arrangements.  PIE&G follows procedures regarding notice and how to pay past due amounts to avoid disconnection of service. We never call to demand payment or threaten shut off.

Please do not give out any personal information, bank or credit card information over the phone, especially if you do not know who the caller is and, if you did not initiate the call.  This is a scam!
